Season 2 MVP (Male): Jeff
Reasoning: This year Jeff stepped up every element of his character. Joel McHale really came alive this season. His acting in conspiracy theories was amazing, and his speech in paradigms was hilarious.

Season 2 MVP (Female): Annie
Reasoning: I don't think we have much choice here. Shirley and Britta did not stand out nearly as much as Annie did, and this became quite clear throughout the second half of the season despite Shirley having a bigger story arc.

Funniest Character: Dean Pelton
Reasoning: His constant struggle to (in a way) befriend the group was hilarious. He always seems to be seeking approval from somebody (mainly Jeff).

Most Overrated Character: Shirley
Reasoning: I don't know what it is about Shirley, but I'm not a big fan of her. No matter how much progress she makes as a person, it always seems like she goes back to square one and "ooo that's nice". I think what made me hate her the most is that she preaches religion, yet is probably the most judgmental person in the group. At first, she wouldn't even give Chang a shot. Who else would get upset about being a toy baby in someone else's fantasy?

Most Underused Character: Chang
Reasoning: They didn't really have a place for him this season, but he was still funny. I really wish the whole Gollum thing they introduced in the S2 premiere would have played out, but I think from what we've been hearing we can expect good things for him this season.

Best Secondary Cast Member: Professor Duncan
Reasoning: Not used nearly enough this season. I hope he has another relapse.

Best Guest Star: Josh Holloway
Reasoning: he was just epic in the paintball episode. Betty White is a close second, and Kevin Corrigan definitely deserves an honourable mention.

Worst Guest Star: Andy Dick
Reasoning: A former real life drug addict playing a hallucination in a drug addicted man's trip? Wow. I didn't really like Andy Dick at all. I like to think Pierce acts the way he does because he believes he is right all of the time, not because some tiny man in a helicopter tells him things.

Best Episode of the Season: 2.21 Paradigms of Human Memory
Reasoning: The clip show. Such awesomeness. I really loved the Jeff/Britta thing, much like the season premiere, it was able to tell a story and still be funny. The idea of a clip show with flashbacks that are all new was such a good idea. And I like how many of the tales that were told were ultimately left up to the audience. Who knows what happened in that western town? What could Pierce have done to get into trouble with Mexican drug lords? Loved it! Plus Jeff's speech is just awesome.

Worst Episode of the Season: 2.05 Messianic Myths & Ancient Peoples
Reasoning: I didn't like this one very much. Too much meta. I liked the juxtaposition that Abed was perceived as a god and Shirley as Judas but it kind of ruined Abed's character a little bit for me. Last season he was making films based on the members of the study group and he could practically tell the future. Now he made a crap film. He should have seen this coming.

Most Disappointing Episode: 2.18 Custody Law & Eastern European Diplomacy
Reasoning: This episode brought Britta to an all new low for me. And it sucks, because I really like her. Introducing a character for one episode can sometimes hurt everyones character. The guy in this episode successfully made Britta look like a slut, and also put everybody at odds with Britta. I got the feeling by the little bandana gag at the end of the episode that everybody kinda hated Britta.

Overrated Episode: 2.10 Mixology Certification
Reasoning: A lot of people over at the AV Club loved this one. I kind of get why, but at the same time I don't think it was as good as many of the others. I like the whole thing about Troy and Annie being the young responsible people in the group while learning about themselves and others, but there wasn't enough comedy in this episode for me. Plus it made me dislike Shirley even more. I'm now gonna guess that Shirley found religion while doing AA meetings.

Underrated Episode: 2.01 "Anthropology 101" & 2.03 "The Psychology of Letting Go"
Reasoning: I really liked how the S2 premiere was able to tell a story, tie up loose ends and still be funny. Plus it kind of set up a whole new series of speed bumps for the group. They are all still learning to get along. For 2.03, I like the A-story, not so much the B-story. I like how Jeff realizes that he tries to make himself feel better by bringing others down. But instead of fixing this, he decides to embrace it and still try to kick Pierce while he's down. By the end of the episode, Jeff kind of learns from Troy that it's alright not to be perfect.

Best Ending Tag: 2.24 "Fistful of Paintballs"
Reasoning: Hilarious! Just gold.
"Doing anything fun for the summer?"
"No plans..."

Best Gag: Jeff's obsession with his status as best looking guy
Reasoning: This was a serious highlight of the season for me. Seeing Jeff go crazy about how good-looking the black rider is.
"I got a better look at him, he's not that good-looking"

Best Dig: Abed tells Troy to be first black guy to survive
Reasoning: A dig at the old horror movies, classic.

Best Non-Greendale Setting: KFC Truck
Reasoning: This episode in it's own served as a bottle episode, and was a very interesting and unusual setting for the study group, yet it all made sense.

Best Outfit or Costume: Annie (2.24&2.25) and the Dean (2.21)
Reasoning: Annie was smokin' in the 2 part season finale. But best costume definitely goes to the dean. My favourite was Caesar.

Jeff Moment: "I downloaded a song that reminds me of you, let's each listen to it using one earbud" - 2.01 Jeff's speech here just reeks of sarcasm.

Troy Moment: Crying while double bouncing Pierce and almost believing that abed cartooned himself.

Abed Moment: Keeping track of all the ladies periods, and giving Annie a chocolate to make her feel better

Pierce Moment: Pretending to be Jeff's dad

Britta Moment: "Maybe we do Luca. May...be...we...do"
"Can you please leave?!"

Annie Moment: When she lays on the floor rolling around and mumbling jibberish in the conspiracy's episode.

Shirley Moment: "Skinny bitches..."

Chang Moment: When Chang takes over for Pierce as drugs in the childrens play

Dean Moment: "The key is in my shorts..."
