Update: Community was adjusted up to a 1.9 rating.
The premiere got a 1.8 rating, up from a 1.7 last season.
Here’s the gifs for it, not a lot of them but I’ll probably go back through it and make more later.
Rather, Community – which, mind you, also battles with American Idol — pulled a 1.7 demo rating, matching its week-ago performance with the coveted 18-49 demo (aka the beloved comedy’s second-highest tally since Sept. 29).
Community is also consistently delivering a 20 percent better demo number than 30 Rock last did in Thursday’s lead-off spot.
And, this is with being preempted in St. Louis (again).
It was also the highest rated show on NBC again, things are looking good for a fourth season.
NBC’s Community returned from its too-long hiatus to 4.9 million total viewers and a demo rating of 2.2, delivering increases of 36 and 47 percent over the comedy’s most recent outing (on Dec. 8 ) and a 14-month, non-sports time slot demo high for NBC.
What’s more, NBC points out that Community – with Bang Bang Theory benched by NCAA hoops — was No. 1 among Adults 18-34 and Men 18-34 during its half hour, besting even a little show called American Idol. Cool, cool, cool…
Year-over-year, Community was up 29 percent in the demo, while versus its season-to-date average it delivered a 38 percent gain.
NBC also was up across the board with Community bouncing up 6% from its season low to a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating. Perfect Couples bounced off its series lows by 33% to a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating and The Office was up 6% from its last original to a 3.4 rating. Parks & Recreation jumped 39% from last week’s lows to a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating and 30 Rock was up 18% from last week’s lows to a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating. Outsourced also perked up from last week’s lows by 7% to a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating.
Better than last week, though it still had to go up against the NCAA tournament.
